3- “FAQ”
a. When does this go into effect?
i. We’ve already begun offering and tracking these education opportunities.
ii. The website is operational and individuals will be able to view their completed courses. (After the individual has created a Login on the website, then Filled out the Form at the bottom of the Training Tracker Page-ONLY available when logged-in, and the administrators have had opportunity to migrate the class history onto the Individual’s User ID.)
b. Why do I keep getting offers for classes that I think I’ve completed?
i. We have not found an easy way to skip individuals who have already completed courses in CrewDriver. If you can see in the Training Tracker that you have successfully completed a course, please respond No, to allow the course to reach other individuals.
c. Can I “test out” of taking the classes?
i. Yes. Multiple sessions of the “Stage Employee Apprenticeship Qualification Test” will be available for large numbers of people from May 2024 to August 2024. Opportunities to retest following this period will be determined on an as needed basis.
ii. Going forward, regular scheduled testing will be offered every 6 months for those going through the IATSE Local 190 Education Training Program.
d. Is there a deadline for completing this, when will this affect my placement on the list?
i. All current members must take and pass the updated “Stage Employee Apprenticeship Qualification Test” by June 2025. At that time, individuals who have not passed the test will be moved to the E list and expected to take and pass all classes in order to retake the test.
e. What about all the years I’ve spent learning while working for the Local?
i. Real-world on the job experience, dependability, and hard work are always positive qualities. The goal is to be able to demonstrate and document the knowledge which has been learned throughout those years. This should incentivize on-the-job learning.
